Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said on Saturday that hereditary politics has ruined the country and that those who voted based on race and family politics are responsible for their own condition. He said that the day is not far when PTI will rule the country, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a rally here on Saturday, Khan said that the national politics is occupied by a few families. He said that the system of clan-based politics has been running for the past 30 years.

He said that ‘18-year-old kid’ has become chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and that 22 ‘big names’ of Sharif family hold key positions in the government.

PTI chief said that hereditary politics has ruined the country, adding that those who vote on racial and clan basis are responsible.
Khan said that general elections of 2013 saw the worst rigging of the history. He said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz bagged 68 lakh votes in Punjab in general elections of 2008 and that the number ‘surprisingly’ rose to 1 crore 45 lakh in 2013 election.
